TXAA anti-aliasing creates a smoother, clearer image than any other anti-aliasing solution by combining high-quality MSAA multisample anti-aliasing, post processes, and NVIDIA-designed temporal filters.

I'm currently running the game with almost everything maxed but I'm only using FXAA for AA. The other AA solutions destroy my FPS and even the FXAA is giving me a hard time staying at 60 fps. The aliasing with only FXAA is killing me. Every edge 30 feet in front of me is horribly jagged and I can't stand it. Do you guys have any solutions? I'm running a GTX 980, 4770k, 16GB, at 1920x1080.

Anti-aliasing in Crysis must be set in game. It's not possible to set it through NVidia Control Panel for it, unless they fixed that in the last 3 weeks. And Anti-aliasing IS needed at 1280x1024, lower resolutions need it, highre resolutions don't because the textures are already filtered so much, most people will rarely see significant reasons why you need AA at higher resolutions.

Or does nvidia anti aliasing in the control panel have to be turned to app controlled. Even though it says If you want to control the antialiasing from within the program use the application.

Seems like there are many differing opinions out there about DOOM and anti-aliasing modes. Don't forget, guys, you can also always just upscale your resolution if you have enough VRAM on a powerful GPU. Depends how much you want to scale the resolution up. Haven't had Nvidia in awhile, but I know how to do it on Catalyst software or Crimson.

Enhance will work on top of the in-game MSAA(mostly for DX10-11 games) and try to make it look better using Nvidia's implementation or algorithm, if you have Enhance set to 4x it will only work with in-game setting set to MSAA 4x, in-game MSAA 8x won't be Enhaned by 4x since it will be a downgrade, not really that useful since it rarely works at all or don't provides a better image quality.

With SGSSAA you should be creating game-specific profiles with NVIDIA Inspector, it requires that you have MSAA set to the same level of anti-aliasing as the level of SGSSAA you want to use, and you have to seek out Compatibility Bits for it to work correctly. Some games will work with SGSSAA, but only if you disable certain effects.
